When my husband and I began looking for houses with Pam, we were newly married and thought we wanted a fixer-upper that we could work on over a couple of years and turn around for a profit, however, we quickly realized what a fixer-upper truly looked like after a few days of looking, and realized we didn't have the time or experience to deal with some of the issues we were seeing.  We actually got into a hurry and tried to get into a bidding war with another buyer on a house that would have put us at the upper limit of our price range and Pam showed us how we would be overpaying.  To top it off, she found us a much better house for far less money within a week!  We may live here another 40 years!
